Learn to Race – Speedskating

Speed skating is one of the most decorated Olympic winter sports, and Lakewood is home to its own club for it. The Lakewood Speedskating Club has a long history of providing supervised training for skaters of all skill levels and age groups, with a focus on developing not just speed and technique, but also character, sportsmanship, and overall health. The club is affiliated with both the Ohio Speedskating Association and US Speedskating, and keeps track of members’ one-lap times and monthly club race results so skaters can watch their own progress over time.
